Getting Organized: OneNote

Tablet Tip:

Description:
In this episode of Tablet Tips, Jared explains how to best use OneNote to keep notes from various classes neatly organized.

The general guideline for organizing notes is to make a single Notebook for each semester.

In this notebook, make multiple section groups, one for each class. This keeps all of the notes for each class in their own section, just like using a paper multi-section notebook.

In each section group, a section should be made for each unit. Also, a general section could be made for material such as assignment sheets for projects or the class syllabus. Having a section for each unit will give distinct division in the notes so that it is easier to study for tests.

Inside of each section, pages and subpages can be used to further divide the material depending on the class. This may be per lecture (which may span multiple days), per day, or per objective. This is very dependent on the class and the note taking style you are comfortable with.

Overall, keeping OneNote notes neatly organized is a great way to improve study habbits and keep up good grade.
