This edition of Tablet Tips focuses on those things that you should probably avoid doing while in class, but are perfectly fine to do in between classes.
First, World of Warcraft may be addicting for some people, but there isn't any benefit using a tablet to play it.
Tablet PCs are better suited to games that require drawing lines such as Line Rider. On a normal computer, a mouse would normally be used to play Line Rider, however on a tablet the game becomes much easier because you can simply draw the slopes and lines on the screen.
Other games, such as The Impossible Quiz, can require that you quickly perform action or avoid areas on the screen. These games become easier on a tablet because you can quickly and easily 'teleport' the mouse to any place on the screen.
Windows Vista includes a very fun game that is designed just for Tablet PCs. It is called InkBall. InkBall is a simple game where you draw lines in order to get colored balls in specific holes. It starts out easy, but the harder levels provide quite a challenge.
Moving away from the game realm, programs such as Paint and Photoshop are great for doodling. Some people might not able to draw a simple stick figure with a mouse, but using a Tablet the experience is much closer to pencil and paper.
While this may not be related to goofing off, it can be quite funny to notice. Since people are so used to using pencil and paper, many people who erase on their tablet will still wipe away the eraser shavings, even though they are not there.
This also works in the opposite direction. Tablet users who use the scratch out gesture (this is drawing horizontal lines through words on your tablet causing them to be deleted) may attempt this gesture on normal paper. Obviously this doesn't work the same way on paper as it does on a tablet.
